Corning has launched a Web site to crow about the benefits of LCD (liquid crystal display) TV. It's hard to take them seriously, since they are a supply of "large generation glass substrates" for LCDs. That's a bit too much information if you ask me, but I know they are involved in LCD somehow, which makes me leery of their info.
I checked it out the site, and it's definitely work a peek. Aside from the standard benefits, there are installation tips, information about taking LCD on the go, and much more. Every quarter, the topics will change, so stick it in your endless list of bookmarks and check back when you can.
I can't stress enough how important it is to know some of what you are talking about before entering a showroom. I was walking through a major electronics retailer this weekend, and all I could think was: "I am going to invest thousands of dollars into something that these clowns recommend?" Someone needs to know what they are talking about.
