Qsonix Serves Up Good Music

By Rachel Cericola, Nov 30, 2005

Things are getting so small, that at some point, I'm going to need a magnifying glass to look through my music collection. While the Qsonix digital music system can't exactly fit in your pocket, it does nestle nicely into your ever-growing digital lifestyle.

The Q100 DME System puts all of your CDs into the palm of your hand. How does it differ from your favorite pocket pal? It has anywhere between 160 and 400 GBs of storage, which would make the typical handheld pop at the seams. In case you're keeping score, that's about 7,500 of your "favorite" CDs.

A funky, easy-to-use touchscreen allows you to manage, organize and control the entire setup. The 15-inch LCD can alse be a nice segway to an automation addiction, allowing users to incorporate it into a whole-house control system.

There are a slew of features to play around with, including Fast Preview and Album Browser. You'll have plenty of time to check out the system, since it only takes about five minutes to set up.

The unit it available through custom installers, professional A/V dealers and retailers worldwide. [$5,495]

I love my Q100. While my husband watches football on the Plasma I have my own drag and drop touchscreen all to myself to develop playlists for every room of the house. Loading my CD collection is so easy and fun. It takes only minutes. Thanks Qsonix.
