Now you can expect a little something inside of Intel -- TiVo functionality. ABC News says that the two companies are in cahoots for an entertainment coup.

The partnership means that computers with Intel's new Viiv technology will have and use some of the TiVo Series2's features. With a click of the remote, you can transfer material from the digital video recorder (DVR) to your PC. Doesn't sound like a huge deal, unless you want to load up your laptop or other portable for travel purposes. Apparently, you can transfer ANY material to any Viiv-enabled device. Therein lies the rub. Another feature allows users to edit and view photos on the TV.

The application is expected to be available in the first half of 2006.
