Preloaded Video iPods Available

By Rachel Cericola, Dec 6, 2005

Some people just can't wait. While I am all for instant gratification, I also know where the line between cool and lazy is drawn. From the "why didn't I think of that" files: Massachusetts-based company, TVMyPod, has announced that they will stuff your iPod with video for cheap.

Supposedly, it takes two minutes to convert every minute of video to the iPod format. Who has time for that? I have episodes of Lost to download!

The TVMyPod service is kind of cool though. You don't need to send in all of your DVDs or email data files. The company actually has about 100 movies, sporting events and concerts, as well as a 100 TV shows from the four major networks, as well as HBO. Pick your iPod and video content and they will load it up for you, send you the iPod and the DVDs.

The site isn't much to look at right now, but the sentiment -- and the products are there. The iPods range from 30GB ($299) to 60GB ($399). Prices for the DVDs vary, but the cost to load them is free.
